Remember when I posted two weeks ago about this lovely picture?
Well, since then I’ve been trying to recreate the eclectic photo-display on the wall.
I finally got my hands on some brown card stock after trying to make my own (post coming soon), having Amazon sell out of what I wanted, and dealing with the fact that Michael’s is 1.5 hours away.
Here’s what’s on my bedroom wall now:

I didn’t try too too hard to get it to look similar to the original- I just loved the basic idea.

(Pictures top-bottom: Eiffel tower collage from my trip there in 2008, sandwich kisses with my little brother and sister, and office chair races down the street fall 2009)

I collected pictures, edited them all to have the same color scheme (slightly more black and white than sepia), arranged some in collages, and printed them out on normal paper. Then I glued them to brown cardstock and decorated some of them with lace and bows.

(Pictures L-R: Silly photoshoots with my sister in 2008, cowgirl-themed photoshoot with my BFF in 2009)

I was planning on hanging the pictures up with upholstery tacks to just add some more sparkle, but I couldn’t find them anywhere. I even dreamed I searched the neighborhood for small brass nails. 😀 (Stop rolling your eyes, close friends!) Instead I just used staples.

I added a quote I found online that fit the pictures perfectly:
“Our inside jokes-too many to name.
When we’re apart, its never the same.
When we’re together, its nothing but fun.
Replacing my girls just can’t be done.”
(From our cowgirl themed photoshoot again)
I grabbed some random lace from my stash and hung it up, too. I love this way of displaying photos. Its not over-the-top like in most teen girl’s bedrooms, but its different than a simple frame.

  1. I miss you so much it hurts.

But I LOVE your wall better than your old bedrooms. 😀 Very very cute. 😀 😀 😀 😀
