Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a wonderful week! Although blogging has slacked off for me in recent months, I’ve been posting pretty consistently on instagram.com/freshmodesty. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite outfits from the past 12 weeks or so. 🙂
“Thrift is not a small or timid or provincial thing; it is part of that great idea of the woman watching on all sides out of all the windows of the soul and being answerable for everything.” -G.K. Chesterton The 25 cent sale is still going on at my local thrift store and it’s kind of awesome… Big purple bag of stuff for $3. Shirt and skirt #oldnavy brand via @ourthriftstore, shoes from @thredup.
If I were a rich lady, I would totally buy my clothes at Cracker Barrel. Hats, tunics, jewelry, small ceramic bathtubs… All my style. // new shirt on its third wear this week, favorite brown skirt, and the earrings I’ve worn every day for months was my throw-in-a-suitcase-at-midnight church outfit choice. Attended a church this morning my great great grandfather used to pastor. 🙂
#OOTD // There are seasons for everything, like curling your hair and wearing a carefully crafted outfit each week to church. Right now my season is resting until the very last second, hoping it will help me feel better, and hopping in the shower 1/2 hour before service starts, throwing on a stand-by dress, and making it there just in time. Today I opted for driving the 4-wheeler so my hair would dry on the way. (Not my classiest moment) Here’s hoping next week I’ll have the energy to put into the preparations that I believe worshipping the Lord deserves. #sundaystyle #modestyforchurch
