A couple Fridays ago our church had a barn dance. And of course I needed a new skirt to wear.

Only problem was that I was out of time and out of denim.

But this came out anyway. 🙂

I used my favorite gored skirt pattern for the upper part of the skirt out of scraps from a long denim skirt I made earlier in the week.
The bottom tier is from the same set of scraps. I used the pretty selvage edge as trim.

The middle tier is a different denim. Salvaged from a pair of jeans. The lace has sort of a plasticy feel, but is very washable and ironable.

My fabulous belt buckle was sent to my by my bestest girls, Jordan and McKenna.

And, for the record, the barn dance was awesome. 😉

Happy Thanksgiving!
