Hi there! I’m Olivia Williams! I’m a new wife, seamstress, entrepreneur, and can’t-help-but-teach-er. I started Fresh Modesty when I was 15 and it has had many changes, emphases, and periods of growth over the years, but the goal has remained the same: to encourage Christian young women to think critically, to dress with class, and to glorify the Lord with their lives.

My husband and I both grew up in wonderful Christian homes, attended Reformed Presbyterian churches, and were homeschooled. I am so thankful we have a strong foundation on which to build our own home.

I believe women are to dress in a way that is beautiful and brings glory to the Lord by its excellence, taste, and appropriateness. The Bible describes modesty as “adorning yourself with respectable apparel and self control” (1 Timothy 2:9). It can be tricky to know what this means in culture that is so in-your-face about exposing the woman’s body. I share my outfits in the Fashion section of this site to give you a glimpse of how this scripture (and others) are brought to bear in this woman’s life. 🙂

Since the summer of 2015, I have been convicted about my clothes-buying habits and the impact they have on the lives of those in the manufacturing process. So many people have no idea how their purchases are affecting people all over the world! My conscience is now very sensitive. One of the emphases of this website is to share my passion for eco-friendly, sustainable, intentional, green, chemical-free, organic, all-the-buzz-words living.
